Chinese manufacturer ZTE has a lot on its plate right now, and this one seems to be one of them. The ZTE U988S is claimed to be the world’s first Tegra 4 smartphone which boasts of advanced graphics and performance.
To speak more about the device itself, it is believed to have a 5 inch Full HD display on board, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera with a 2MP front facing camera, a microSD card slot for storage expansion, a 1.8 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 4 chipset and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. The Tegra 4 chip here is said to be on par with the mighty Snapdragon 800 chip seen on new age devices like the Sony Xperia Z Ultra.
As is the case with any ZTE smartphone, we’re a little wary of its global availability. However, the device hasn’t been announced yet, so ZTE might surprise us with a wider rollout. It must be noted that Xiaomi also has a Tegra 4 smartphone in tow with the Mi3.
