The upcoming LG G2 smartphone is all set for a big reveal on the 7th of August. While we have heard plenty of rumors about its features, there was little known about the launch dates. But now those questions have been answered too with an alleged LG executive revealing region specific launch schedules. The CFO of LG Electronics, David Jung seems to have revealed that the smartphone will arrive in South Korea in August followed by North America in September with the rest of the world getting it in October, which is how LG usually launches its devices.
The exciting part however is that another executive has apparently revealed that Verizon Wireless could be carrying the LG G2 in the U.S, along with T-Mobile and AT&T as previously reported. It’s certainly something to look forward to, but with all these pre-launch rumors, the announcement will hardly manage to surprise us. We saw something similar happen last morning with the Nexus 7 announcement where the tablet was accessed by a few users even before the official announcement was made. Let’s hope LG has more to show than what we expect to see on the 7th of August.
