The Google Nexus 7 has been the budget lover’s favorite Android tablet for almost a year now. And it seems like a newer variant is set to hit the shelves at the Play Store as Google and Staples have decided to slash the prices of the 16 and 32GB variants of the tablet by $20 and $50 respectively. So for the price of a regular 16GB tablet, users can now get the 32GB variant while the 16GB variant has gone cheaper by $20.
This price reduction is highly indicative of the fact that a newer version of the tablet is in tow. Inventory clearance is very common right before the launch of a newer and better version of a device. While there have been plenty of rumors about this new Nexus 7 tablet, we’re yet to come across an official announcement. A snappier chipset and a higher resolution display have been rumored, so we’ll stick to that until we have the official word.
You can find these revised prices of the Nexus 7 over at Staples.
