The third iteration of the Galaxy Note phablet is rumored to break cover at the much awaited IFA 2013 in early September. The rumor generates from the folks at The Korea Herald, who claim to have gathered information from “industry sources” about the next Samsung flagship. The source also mentions that the smartphone will feature a 5.7 inch display, we’re guessing 1080p.
We have come across similar rumors in the past, so there’s hardly anything to learn from this. However, it’s pleasing to have confirmation of some sort coming through from Korea. The article also sheds light on how the phablet could feature the new LTE-A or LTE Advanced connectivity, which was first seen on the Korean variant of the Galaxy S4. This is a technology limited to South Korea for now, so global customers have no reason to be excited.
We’re hoping to get more information on the Samsung phablet in the coming days as the launch date approaches.
