Skype for Android gets major update to version 4.0

SkypeToday the Skype app for Android has gotten a massive update to version 4.0 With it, the UI for phones gets a massive update in order to match the design of platforms like iOS and the desktop (Windows 8-inspired).

Along with releasing this update, Skype also says they are now over 100 million installs on Android. That’s a lot. They also says they will try to keep Skype for Android updated at the same pace as the other platforms. Hopefully that stays true for a long time, even with Skype now coming to another platform this fall, the Xbox One.

Here’s some screenshots of the new Skype.
