Samsung Galaxy Beam could be getting Jelly Bean

Despite missing out completely on the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade and sticking with Gingerbread, the Samsung Galaxy Beam may not be finished yet, with new reports stating models are being tested with Jelly Bean 4.1.2.

This does not make the Galaxy Beam up to date, but it definitely a big move in the right direction for people who still own the device. Launched in the US after multiple other countries, it seems the phone was destined to be yet another Gingerbread Android device. One of the most notable features on the Galaxy Beam was the ability to pico project images onto TVs and screens.

The new update to the Galaxy Beam has apparently had major performance enhancements, thanks to Project Butter and it will come with more battery life. We do not believe Samsung will roll out any new features on the device after the Jelly Bean update.
