Mysterious LG-F320 Benchmark Reveals a Fast Snapdragon 800

As the competition for the best performing smartphone heats up, it seems that LG does not want to be left behind. Benchmark results spotted on AnTuTu Benchmark test reveal it is developing a mysterious Snapdragon 800 powered device only known to have an LG-F320 model number.

LG-F320 Benchmark Results

The Benchmark test results shows that the device was tested in LG’s home country of South Korea and it clocked a 2.3 GHz speed and more than 32,000 points.  Based on this information, there are peculations doing rounds on the internet that this could either be the next Nexus 5 phone from LG or it could be an LG Optimus G2, the company’s next flagship smartphone.  LG has already confirmed that their next flagship phone will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC and from the tests posted online, there is a high chance this may be it.

LG has a planned event on August 7th and it is anticipated that it will launch their new flagship smartphone to take on the current market leaders including HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Z and upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note III.  Earlier rumors indicate that this next smartphone will have quite impressive hardware features including a large 5.5 inch screen, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and new touch controls at the back of the device.  It’s certain that this new device will be way faster than the leading Android smartphones in the market, but what makes the best smartphone today is a lot more than processor clock speed.  Whether the new smartphone will make it to the list is another story altogether.

That is all the details we have at the moment, we are not even certain the AnTuTu benchmark results are genuine because they can easily be faked by an overenthusiastic fan.  What we know is that the Snapdragon 800 processor is getting faster by the day as previous benchmark results of the new Sony Xperia Z Ultra showed.  It seems the second half of 2013 will see the launching of quite fast Android smartphones.  Let’s wait and see.
