Moto X camera app now available for all

Moto X camera

The Moto X camera app has leaked out in the form of an apk file, giving us an idea of its working before its launch. The camera interface on the Moto X has been looked at very closely during previous leaks, but users are now in a better position to judge its actual capabilities, thanks to this leak. Sadly, the Quick Capture feature is non-functional in this leaked apk.

Other features like slow-mo video recording, panorama and HDR are not working as well. So this new camera app can be used merely for decorative purposes. The touch to capture button works perfectly well, but besides that there’s nothing to write home about. Perhaps we’ll have a better and more functional version of the Moto X camera someday, but until then this should do the trick. Fortunately for the users, installing this apk won’t replace the stock camera app, as it will install as a separate app.
