The folks at LG seem to be very optimistic about the sales of the yet to be launched Optimus G2 smartphone. A few company officials have apparently spoken to The Korea Herald and revealed that they are expecting great results from the smartphone to increase or rather boost sales in the second half of 2013 (H2).
The official is believed to have said the following – “Whereas our previous concerns mainly revolved around hardware and user experience, with the G2, we tried to concentrate on design and the brand image“. After the Optimus G and the Nexus 4, it is quite clear that LG has turned its focus onto design and hardware. So we won’t be surprised if the same strategy is followed with upcoming smartphones.
The smartphone is allegedly a successor to the widely popular Optimus G smartphone and is rumored to pack a 5.2 inch IPS display, a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 chip with 2GB of RAM. An official announcement should take place on August 7 according to rumors.
LG today is certainly a force to reckon with. Unlike two years ago with unflattering smartphones like the Optimus 2X and the Optimus 3D, the company has come a long way to establish a position in the market.
