It seems like July 23 is a lucky day for manufacturers, as another device is about to be revealed on the same day. An invite from HTC has leaked out confirming the announcement of the Desire 500 in Taipei.
The smartphone will most certainly be a low end offering from the company for Asian and European markets. The leak comes courtesy of Taiwanese site ePrice. Unfortunately, there are no details available about the smartphone or its specs as all we have is a leaked press invite.
It’s surprising to see HTC holding a standalone event for a device like the Desire 500, as a device of its caliber will probably see a limited launch. This leak has surfaced just after the One Mini was leaked in a Chinese device certification site. We’re hoping HTC will announce the One Mini along with the Desire 500 during the event.
The new age Desire series of smartphones are basically a bunch of mid-range and low end handsets catered specifically for developing nations or markets where dual SIM smartphones are in constant demand.
