Facebook for Android gets an update

This past weekend, we heard of the Facebook Beta for Android app receiving an update. And earlier today, the global version of Facebook has received an update with some improvements on board. According to the changelog, users will now be able to create folders from within Facebook Home with a simple pile-on-top gesture, which is a default feature across all Android devices running Android 4.x and above. This update takes the app to version 3.4.

The update also makes way for new swipe gestures and lets users share news feed stories privately. Also on board is the ability to save the app directly on the microSD card of the smartphone. Facebook has also bundled plenty of bug fixes to improve functionality.

Facebook has been hard at work to improve its Android app so that the users don’t have a lot to complain about. However, there’s still a lot of work left to be done, so we can expect plenty of more updates coming our way.
