A new report from a Hungarian blog suggests that ASUS could be working on a new super thin tablet. While there is no mention of the display size, or even the operating system for that matter, the tablet could well be the next best thing if the rumor turns out to be true. The site claims that this new tablet will be about 6mm thick, which would easily make it the thinnest tablets around.

This could well be a fake rumor considering that we don’t have a lot of information to go with. So let’s wait till there’s something conclusive available on the tablet and we might just be impressed. Knowing ASUS though, it might not be right to rule it out entirely.

Thin sized devices are currently in trend. We have seen the Huawei Ascend P6 which is only 6.18mm thick, making it one of the thinnest smartphones in the world right now. But unfortunately for the manufacturers, the thickness of a smartphone is hardly a selling point. People today want smartphones which can last longer and run faster. But for a large sized device like a tablet, the thin form factor would be very welcome. Hopefully, we’ll have some clarification on this ASUS tablet in the coming days.
