T-Mobile is really trying to push their plans in the US, offering unlimited data and texting for $30 per month, with 100 minutes for all those calls.
The data plan is not all 4G, T-Mobile cap usage at 5GB and then switch the user down to 3G. This is still a pretty good deal and the average smartphone user only uses 3 – 5GB of 4G data per month anyway.
There are no drawbacks from the contract as far as we can see, T-Mobile will offer the SIM and you can add it to any smartphone that is unlocked. T-Mobile will not allow this for people already on a pre-paid plan, although they will be able to get the contract after.
Again, we are starting to see T-Mobile really push the price and transparency down in contracts, something we are sure all US smartphones owners are glad. We hope AT&T and Verizon will start offering similar offers, but we won’t hold our breath.
