An alleged product photo of Sprint’s LG Optimus F3 in purple has found its way online, thanks to famous device leak source @evleaks. A few weeks ago, an image of the LG Optimus F3 in black was posted by the same user, as well, giving consumers the first look at these upcoming handsets from Sprint.
Designed for the entry-level crowd, the Sprint LG Optimus F3 will purportedly come with a dual-core processor and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Its display will be a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display whereas its battery will have a 2,460mAh capacity. The smartphone also supports 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The product photo also shows a textured back with the LG logo.
As for the pricing, no definite information has been revealed. Supposedly, however, the smartphone will be priced competitively. This would help to give the device an edge over others in the same niche, especially since it comes with Android Jelly Bean as well as support for 4G.
No information is available, as well, regarding the date of its release. There is a June 24 date shown in the phone’s display, but there is no assurance that it will be the date when the phone is released into the market. It may, nonetheless, be a hint that the device will arrive later this month.
Ubergizmo notes that earlier, rumors surfaced that Sprint would be making the device official around the end of May, but that time has come and gone without any announcement.
The LG Optimus F3 is part of the F Series of smartphones that LG announced during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain this year. Among the other phones which are part of the F Series are the 4.3-inch Optimus F5 and the 4.7-inch Optimus F7, two handsets which were released earlier this year. Touted as “Freedom” devices, these F Series smartphones offer 4G connectivity while maintaining an affordable price.
