Previously, we reported that the Nokia Lumia 925 will be coming to T-Mobile in the coming month. Now, new information reveals that such handset, along with the Sony Xperia Z and the T-Mobile 768, already have a launch date: July 14th. The information comes from a leaked T-Mobile roadmap published by TMO News, a frequent source of T-Mobile rumors.
Both the Nokia Lumia 925 and the Sony Xperia are high-profile handsets whose arrival on T-Mobile had already been officially confirmed. Meanwhile, the T-Mobile 768 is still an unknown handset that is speculated to be by Huawei, ZTE, or another phone maker that had chosen to sell it under the T-Mobile brand. The same handset could well be a prepaid device.
TMO News also mentions that the Nokia Lumia 925 may be sold for the price of $99.99 down. Its total retail price would be $579, with two years’ worth of $20 monthly payments. On the other hand, the prices of the Sony Xperia Z and the T-Mobile 768 are still unknown.
The same report notes that T-Mobile is planning for a “Major EIT Release” during the same week. This is believed to be the launch of Big Magenta’s Simple Choice With No Credit Check (SCNC) rate plan, an option for consumers to enjoy an unlimited family plan sans the need for a credit check.
The information, being unconfirmed and unofficial, may still be subject to change, but at least it gives those who are eyeing the Nokia Lumia 925 and the Sony Xperia Z a general idea of when the smartphones will arrive on said carrier.
