Lg has made L4 II official.
L4 II and its sibling L4 II dual were leaked several times online in the past and now, the company has finally made it official. As you can guess, it is an entry level device meant for people with a budget.
The device has a 3.8 inch IPS screen with a resolution of 480×320. It will sport a single core 1 Ghz MediaTek processor with only 512 MB of RAM. The 1700 mAh battery will give a decent battery life and the 3 MP rear camera with flash too is only good for taking pictures once in a while. It has 4GB internal memory and will be expandable via MicroSD card. Given that it is an entry level device, we don’t think that the apps can be transferred to its memory card.
The device is pretty small sized and features the same optimus design style. The dimensions of the device will surely give you an idea on how small it is. The actual measurements are 112.5 x 64.7 x 11.9mm. There will a home button similar to the ones seen in other optimus devices but here the home button will also serve as a notification light for the device. As a result, if you get any emails or messages, the home button will act as the notification light.
Connectivity features like Bluetooth 3.0, Wifi b/g/n, GPS, HSPDA are inbuilt and one major perk will be the android 4.1 jellybean running on the device. Entry level handsets normally do not feature jellybean and hence this would be a big advantage for users who are on a tight budget but are looking for a jellybean device.
Although the device would be releasing in select markets like Russia and Ukraine initially, we are sure that it would launch to more markets in the coming months. More details like pricing and global release would be revealed soon.
