It looks like HTC is on the roll this year. According to GSMinsider, the Taiwanese company is planning to launch a series of smartphones from June up to July this year. The devices slated for release are the HTC Butterfly S, the HTC M4 and a series of HTC One units with different colors.

Head to Head Against Samsung

The source said that the move by HTC to schedule the releases of its new models and variants this coming quarter is a response to Samsung’s announcement of new devices. Among the devices that Samsung will introduce are the Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Zoom, Galaxy S4 Google Edition plus some other rumored devices like the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4 Mega and others.

The HTC Butterfy S

The HTC Butterfly S is set to debut in the middle of June, said the source. This new smartphone is actually an upgraded version of the first generation HTC Butterfly. It should be noted though that this is not the rumored HTC Butterfly 2 which has been making its rounds in the internet before.

The additional features of the product include MicroSD card slot, Ultrapixel Camera and larger battery, the report stated. This will be available in extra gray color.

The HTC M4 is considered as the HTC One’s little brother because it shares a little similarity with it in terms of design. However, the HTC M4 comes with downgraded specs.

Based on the report, it will have a 4.3-inch display with 720p resolution, Ultrapixel Camera 2GB RAM, dual-core processor, stereo speakers, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 1,700mAh battery and Sense 5. This smartphone is scheduled to be unveiled by the Taiwanese firm in the middle of July.

New Colors for HTC One

What we have learned from the rumors so far about the new colors of the new HTC One is that it will come in blue and red variants. These versions will be offered in Taiwan and China by July, but we have no idea yet about its US release.
