AT&T is the kind of mobile network operator that likes to snag deals with manufacturers and then brag about what they have to offer over everybody else. Most of the time this tactic goes unnoticed in my life, as the choice out there allows me to easily find another alternative. However, it seems AT&T has teamed up with Samsung to ensure the hotly talked about Galaxy S4 Active will only be available on AT&T in the United States.
The inner-hardware doppelganger of the standard Galaxy S4 will be available both online and in-store for $199 along with a 2 year contract. You’ll be able to get the IP67-certified Galaxy S4 Active in both Urban Gray and Dive Blue, and it will be available for grabs on June 21st.
I personally waited a little longer to purchase a new phone in the hopes of grabbing the Galaxy S4 Active, but as the handset is now only available on a 2 year contract with AT&T, I may have to make a different decision.
There is currently no news on whether the Galaxy S4 Active will make it to the UK or any other regions, so if you want to get your hands on it, you may have to come move over to America for a couple years so you can sort out the contract it’s been bundled with.
