When we originally checked out the Galaxy Note 8.0, we were surprised to find calling services available on the tablet. We were even more surprised when Samsung decided to only launch the WiFi version in the US first. We are finally going to see the LTE version come out from Samsung, in partnership with AT&T. The Galaxy Note 8.0 will launch on June 21 for $399 on a two year contract.
This is pretty step for a tablet that has limited functionality and runs as well as the iPad Mini or Nexus 7. Even though the iPad Mini has its own steep prices for LTE support, we question what type of user would really purchase the Galaxy Note 8.0 and use lots of data away from home.
AT&T will also allow buyers to bundle the Galaxy Note 8.0 with the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Active or Galaxy Note II and receive $200 off the tablet, which is a pretty neat.
