Acer blew the minds of many reporters when they announced the Aspire S7, a thin, light and incredibly well built high end laptop many believed would be an ample competitor to the MacBook Air.
Now Acer is back with the new Aspire S3 and S7, while the S3 still appears to be a little flimsy in areas, it could be an excellent machine if the company places an affordable price tag.
The real magic is with the Aspire S7, the high end notebook has had its aesthetics slightly redesigned but the main new features are the huge new battery and more RAM.
Acer has also added the new Haswell processors to both devices, the Aspire S3 can come with Intel i3, i5 or i7 processors, while the Aspire S7 will only come with i5 and i7.
We will see the Aspire S7 come at the same price as its predecessor, no word on the Aspire S3 price just yet. Acer is offering a 2560 x 1440 panel, but this will cost an extra $500. If you are big into high res, you may want to splash out on the S7.
