Samsung appears to be setting up a release of the Samsung Tab 3 8.0. Various rumors have been making its rounds on the news wire recently on this device, such as the cameo on the Bluetooth Certification Alliance site. Now Engadget has recently pointed out a new device passing through FCC that presumably shows the testing results for the Tab 3 8.0.
The DUT document shows the diagonal length of 228.45 mm, which is roughly 9 inches. That would be in line with the 8 inch viewable screen for the Samsung Tab 3 8.0.
According to the documents, we could be looking at two models for the Tab 3 8.0. Model SM-T310 will have Wi-Fi and work with a 3G data plan. The other model, SM-T311, is the Wi-Fi only device.
TechTastic found a GLBenchmark result that suggests this tablet will run on Samsung’s own dual-core Exynos 4412 chip, which was clocked at 1.5 GHz.
Rumored specs include:
- the obvious 8 inch screen
- WXGA (1280×800) display
- 1.5 GHz dual-core Exynos 4412 processor
- 16 GB storage
- 2GB RAM
- 5 MP rear camera
- 1.3 MP front camera
- Android 4.2.2 OS
- 4500 mAh battery
