A Dutch website called TechTastic said that they have just discovered information about the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 in GLBenchmark results reported Ubergizmo. The device was designated as SM-T311 in the result, which is also the model of the device.
The Revealed Specs
According to the benchmark results revealed by the Dutch site, the tablet will be sporting an 8-inch screen, thus it will be known as the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0.
The touchscreen will have a resolution of 1280 x 800 and it will run in a WXVGA display. Then, it will have the Android 4.2.2 operating system, better known as the Jelly Bean. Plus, it will have the TouchWiz technology.
The processor of the product is clocked at 1.5GHz based on the result. This led various sources to speculate that it might be Samsung’s very own dual-core Exynos 4412 chipset.
Although not mentioned in the benchmarking result, the sources added that the new tab will possess a 2GB RAM and a battery that has 4500 mAh.
In addition, rumors claim that the graphics of the new device will run with an ARM Mali-400 GPU, which guarantees more crisp visuals for the new release.
So far, there are no official announcements from the part of Samsung about the leaked benchmark result. However, with the Computex event coming this June 6 which will be conducted in Taiwan, Ubergizmo suggests that it might serve as a venue for the huge statement from the company about the new tablet. Although there is a possibility too that the confirmation from Samsung about the new Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will come in at a much later date.
Either way, stay tuned for more updates from us and our news later about the upcoming Computex event.
