Samsung recently launched its latest flagship device Galaxy S IV and the Korean giant is expects the sales figures to hit 10 Million before the end of May. After the launch of first Galaxy phone, Samsung has really done well with its innovative features in the Galaxy series.
Recently we have been hearing rumors about the water resistant version of the Galaxy S IV known as the Galaxy S IV Active but today a tipper sent the latest leaked shots of the upcoming smartphone to Gsmarena. These leaked photos were taken in Croatia.
Samsung is known to launch different variants of its Galaxy Series phones and by looking at the recent trend in the smartphone industry for dust and water-proof phones, Samsung has decided to step in with its latest offering.
The leaked shots reveal that Galaxy S IV Active will feature a metallic shell with bolts on the back and three hardware buttons can also be seen on the front. Samsung used two touch sensitive buttons in its original Galaxy S IV phone along with one hardware button.
We can also see that the metallic back cover is painted in metallic orange color which is really cool and eye catching. It seems that Samsung is targeting the young audience this time and why not? Sony has already released its water-proof flagship device Xperia Z which has received some positive reviews.
Apart from the design difference from the original Galaxy S IV, Galaxy S IV Active seems to share same specifications which can be seen in one of the leaked photo too. It is expected to feature Quad core Snapdragon 600 processor running at 1.9GHz processor along with Adreno 320 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. It will also feature 5″ 1080p Super AMOLED display with 480 dpi.
There is no information about the camera but we can easily assume it to be a 13 MP shooter capable of taking 1080p videos. The model number used for the Galaxy S IV Active is GT-I9295.
We will have to wait for the official announcement but with the leaked photos and rumored specs already on the internet, it seems that the announcement is imminent in few days.
