The Galaxy S4 Active is a water- and dust-proof smartphone which runs on a 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. It also packs an Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage space that is expandable by means of a microSD card. Its display is a 5-inch Super AMOLED Full HD panel while its operating system is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The device supports LTE connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and IR blaster. Powering the device is a 2600 mAh battery. The Galaxy S4 Active is said to be very similar to the Galaxy S4, except for its water- and dust-proof properties, and possibly its camera, which is rumored to have less megapixels than the 2013 flagship handset.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom features a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, 8GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot for expansion. It runs on Android Jelly Bean OS and gets its power from a 1900mAh battery. As for connectivity, the Galaxy S4 Zoom supports Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0LE, and A-GPS. However, it does not support LTE. The most noteworthy feature of the Zoom, however, is its 16-megapixel rear camera with 10X optical zoom, which is likely where its name comes from. Assuming this is the case, the device would likely be aimed at digital photography enthusiasts who want a mid-range phone with a good camera. Such camera is also complemented by a 1.9-megapixel front-facing one for video chats.

Both the Galaxy S4 Active and the Galaxy S4 Zoom are expected to be unveiled during Samsung’s Premiere event in London on June 20th. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini plus a device or devices from the Ativ product line are also said to be slated to make their first public appearance.
