Surur of WMPoweruser claims that the announcement of the Nokia Lumia 928 will coincide with the release of the Nokia Lumia 925 and Nokia Lumia EOS. Although he admitted that his source, a Chinese website called Windows Phone Bar, is a bit unclear on the matter.
Upon closer inspection of Surur’s source, I did have trouble understanding the news as well because the direct translation of Google is a bit loose. But based on what I was able put together about the report, the two new Nokia Lumia variants will be unveiled in London this coming May 14.
The Nokia Lumia 925 vs Lumia 928
According to Surur, the Nokia Lumia 925 is rumored to be the international version of the Nokia Lumia Catwalk. Outside, the Lumia 925 and Lumia 928 may look like they share nothing in common because of their different casings. However, upon closer inspection of their specs, one can say that the two are nearly the same.
The Lumia 925 Specs
Like the Lumia 928, the new device will have a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. It will have 1GB of RAM and internal storage of 16GB. There are no details though how much the memory will pack with a MicroSD card. Then, expect a nice quality display on the screen of the new smartphone with its 1280 x 768 resolution.
In addition, the smartphone will run on Windows Phone 8 OS. But the selling points of the upcoming release and the Lumia 928 will be their 8.7MP sensor and f/2.0 aperture to provide great captures even in environments with low amount of lighting. Lastly, both will have a 2000mAh non-removable battery.
About the Nokia Lumia EOS
On a separate report by Phone Arena, the Lumia EOS is the Windows Phone variation of the Nokia 808 PurView. It will come with a camera in the rear that has 41MP. That’s what we have so far about this one. But surely, there will be more to come so keep your eyes peeled for more updates from us.
