Today Sprint has announced that it will be offering its first 4G LTE BlackBerrysmartphone, BlackBerry Q10 this summer. BlackBerry recently released Q10 which runs on the latest BB OS10. It is the first smartphone from BlackBerry to run OS10, featuring a physical QWERTY keyboard along with touchscreen.
Sprint will also offer BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 version 10.1 to its enterprise and government customers. This latest version from BlackBerry provides device and app management for BYOD and corporate-owned BlackBerry, iOS and Android devices.
‘BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 version 10.1 brings new Regulated-level Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) controls and settings for enterprise customers in government and regulated industries who require an advanced level of security, control and logging.’
According to David Owens who is the Sprint vice president-Product Development, the Sprint customers cannot wait to get their hands on the new the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone as the physical keyboard is ideal for typing mails and texts. He also said that Sprint is excited to offer Q10 to its customers and the company will also provide BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 for enterprise customers.
BlackBerry Q10 features a 3.1-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with physical QWERTY keyboard. It is powered by 1.5 GHz dual-core processor coupled with PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 2GB RAM. It also boosts 8-Megapixel back camera and a 2 Megapixel front facing camera.
The 8 MP camera is capable of recording 1080p videos. Q10 comes with 16GB of built-in memory and also supports microSD card upto 32GB. BlackBerry q10 also boasts a removable 2,100mAh lithium-ion battery.
Unfortunately there is no word on the pricing and availability of Q10 but you can register for updates at www.sprint.com/blackberry10. Not to forget Sprint has announced more than 170 markets where LTE will be available in the coming months.
