Smartphones and tablets are dominating our lives now. The tabs are getting popular day by day as their usage increase in every part of life from schools to auto-workshops, and when these tabs along with smartphones are being used everywhere then why not have a tab for your kitchen???

Archos has come up with a very unique and interesting tab called the ChefPad. Archos has previously released many tablets targeting different audiences including GamePad for gaming lovers, ChildPad for kids and a FamilyPad for the whole family.

This time Archos has its eyes on moms and chefs who like to use or want a tab while cooking in the kitchen which not only keeps them entertained but also helps them cook some delicious food with Chef Apps Zone.

Keeping in mind its use in the kitchen, ChefPad comes with an adjustable stand and a silicone protective case. The protective case is splash-resistant and keeps the tablet safe from water or food splashes and it is very easy to clean. The adjustable stand ensures the best viewing angle while cooking. The Silicon case and the stand will be included in the box according to Archos.

ChefPad features a 9.7 inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels along with 2 Megapixel Front and Back Cameras. It is powered by dual-core CPU @ 1.6 GHz combined with Mali 400 MP4 quad-core GPU & 1GB of RAM so if you are thinking that this thing is just meant to go through some recipes then you are wrong because this tablet delivers solid gaming performance too.

Some reports indicate that Archos is using Rockchip RK3066 CPU in the ChefPad but this will be confirmed once it is available in June.

ChefPad also features mini HDMI port, microSD card slot and stereo speakers. It comes with 8GB of internal storage memory but you can always go with the microSD card for extra storage.

Archos ChefPad also features Chef Apps Zone which filters the best cooking apps from the Google Play Store including recipe apps, cooking tips and cooking assistant apps.

According to Loïc Poirier, CEO of Archos, “The ChefPad is the first ARCHOS tablet to use this filtering technology, This is just the beginning for ARCHOS tablets using this technology; we will continue to launch new and exciting themed tablets that curate apps in such categories as kids apps, games, educational apps, business/productivity apps and more.”

Measuring 9.5″ x 7.4″ x 0.4″ and weighing about 1.5 pounds, this tablet is a joy to use. Archos ChefPad runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and will be available for $209.99 MSRP at www.ARCHOS.com in June.
