Sony CyberShot and Walkman phones to make a comeback

sony2Sony is riding a huge wave of success after the release of a slew of Xperia phones, more recently the Xperia Z, a waterproof, dust resistant smart phone with some brilliant new specs. After the split with Ericsson, the company has been busy developing a new line of Xperia phones to rival those of Samsung and Apple. The company however is still looking for a way to bring back the Cyber-Shot and Walkman brands to the Xperia series, two phones and features that were largely responsible for Sony’s number one position in the tech market when the Sony-Ericsson partnership was still strong.

Sony’s most popular phone till date remains the CyberShot from the K-Series released a few years ago. Sony is working hard to bring back the CyberShot phone into the Xperia Series. The collaboration of the old and the new will result in CyberShot technology in the new Xperia series. The phone will feature a 5 inch display with a CyberShot camera to rival Nokia’s 808 Pure View capabilities. Like the K-Series, the new phone will capture top quality shots even in low-light conditions. The highlight of the CyberShot was its Xenon flash, something users are eager to see in the new Xperia offering.

Sony’s Walkman phone is another product that was a chartbuster in its time! Fantastic music and sound quality, the phone had a rocking speaker that owners grooved to. Users are also hoping to see this technology back in Sony phones – especially integrated with a stylish, high resolution display and touch screen. The new model is rumored to sport an integrated amplifier chip and audio enhancing software.
