Samsung Taiwan talks about fake HTC One reviews

HTC One

The South Korean smart phone giant, Samsung, has apologized for the fake HTC One reviews that the company’s Taiwan branch published online. The Samsung Taiwan department had hired a few students to post, comment, or publish fake and negative reviews about the HTC One, the new flagship smart phone from the Taiwanese smart phone manufacturer. We can very well make out that the company is a bit worried about the sales of its new flag ship smart phone, the Samsung Galaxy S IV, in Taiwan. And this could be the reason for all the immoral advertising practices it employed.

The company has apologized on its website and has clearly mentioned that the company will be educating its employees on not using such bad practices again. You can read the text published by Samsung below.

Samsung Electronics remains committed to engaging in transparent and honest communications with consumers as outlined in the company’s Online Communications Credo. We have encouraged all Samsung Electronics employees worldwide to remain faithful to our Credo.

The recent incident was unfortunate, and occurred due to insufficient understanding of these fundamental principles.

Samsung Electronics Taiwan (SET) has ceased all marketing activities that involve the posting of anonymous comments, and will ensure that all SET online marketing activities will be fully compliant with the company’s Online Communications Credo.

We regret any inconvenience this incident may have caused. We will continue to reinforce education and training for our employees to prevent any future recurrence.

The HTC One has got many positive reviews already. The smart phone is going to sell out well, but it is to see if it can actually outsell the Samsung Galaxy S IV. Both these super smart phones will be available all over the world very shortly. It is being said that a lot of Samsung smart phone fans are moving to the HTC One because of the aluminium unibody design that the smart phone has over the plastic body of the Samsung smart phone.
