An anonymous tipster has provided information on a new device that Nokia plans to reveal next month. The device known as the Nokia Catwalk which is also known as the Nokia Lumia 928 is said to be revealed by the company this coming May 15th in an event that will be held in London.
What makes this device different from other Lumia’s is that it will be sporting a metallic body. Nokia might follow the design of the HTC One and the iPhone 5 by using an aluminum body on this model. It is going to be available on Verizon and will come in White, Black, Red and Cyan. It’s going to look more like the Lumia 720 but much lighter than the Lumia 920.
As far as specification goes a few details were leaked regarding this device. This device will definitely be running on Windows Phone 8. It’s going to have a 4.5 inch OLED display with a still undetermined resolution. It will make use of Xenon as well as an LED flash for you to be able to take great photos and videos.
Over the past few months Nokia has been aggressively launching new smartphones targeting the low and mid-range market as it aims to make the Windows Phone 8 platform more accessible to everyone. Just recently a new leak was released on an upcoming Nokia 950 model however the authenticity of this leak is still in doubt.
The expected reveal date of the Nokia 928 puts it between the launch dates of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5S. This might be a problem for Nokia as people will more likely forget about this model.
