When Nokia dumped Symbian and adopted Windows Phone OS for their smartphones, many analysts had doubts over this decision. But Nokia was very concerned about its future and was not ready to give up. The Finnish company came up with some really nice and budget friendly Windows Phone smartphones and today Windows Phones has managed to dominate the BlackBerry in terms of mobile OS market share. Interestingly Windows Phone enjoys healthy market share in those markets which are known to be Nokia’s stronghold.
Few days back Nokia’s rumoured Lumia 928 running Windows Phone 8 was spotted both in FCC’s and Verizon’s system and now @evleaks has come up with a new image of the upcoming Nokia Lumia 928. Previously @evleaks has managed to leak images of some smartphones which actually became a reality.
The leaked image shows a black coloured Lumia phone which seems like a predecessor of Lumia 920. The rounded edges are gone and according to some blogs it will feature an aluminium chassis instead of traditional polycarbonate body.
According to some sources Nokia Lumia 928 will be powered by a .5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. It is also known that Nokia will be using an OLED instead of IPS LCD as used in the Lumia 920.
These specs may not be ground breaking but considering the buttery smooth performance of Windows Phone one must not think of any laggy performance. We may see some more coming from Nokia in the future too and this has also attracted the developers to actively develop for the Windows Phone ecosystem.
