The sources have also revealed that STMicroelectronics has signed a contract with Nokia which states that ST will ship the dual membrane microphones to Nokia exclusively for a year through March 1, 2014. Not to forget that technology used for the production of these microphones actually originated from Nokia.
Earlier HTC One faced delayed shipments due to the shortage of Ultrapixel Camera components. HTC introduced 4 MP “Ultrapixel” camera in their new flagship device which according to the company captures 300% more light which results in better performance in low light conditions.
It is to be noted that the injunction is currently only applicable in Netherlands which means the sales to the rest of the world will be unaffected. HTC is very disappointed on this decision and issued an official statement: “HTC is disappointed in the decision. We are considering whether it will have any impact on our business and we will explore alternative solutions immediately.”
Hopefully HTC will come up with a quick solution or else they will continue to observe loss in their net income. HTC One is a surely a beast which has set high standards for the upcoming droids.
