The 2013 Time 100 poll is proving very useful for Kim Dotcom, who is busy advertising and making his new service, Mega, a success. Kim Dotcom is currently placed second in the Time 100 poll of the year, with 82,336 positive votes. And at the top one spot is the Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi, heard of him? In terms of approval ratings, Kim Dotcom is leading with only 6,326 down votes, whereas the Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi has 192,037 down votes.
This is good for Kim Dotcom, and being him, he is not being quiet about it. Kim Dotcom has been tweeting about the poll to all his followers, and in one tweet, he says the following. You can see that he is very proud of himself, which is pretty obvious.

If you do not know about Kim Dotcom, he was the founder of the Mega Upload file sharing service which was shut down some time back by the FBI due to illegal file sharing which was happening on the service. Then, his house was searched illegally. He has gone through some very disturbing events. And how, he is busy working on his new file sharing service, called Mega, which is doing pretty well.
And in such a situation as this one, any kind of advertising or attention that Kim Dotcom gets, his new venture also gets. So he will most likely be trying to get as much attention as he can get from the 2013 Time 100 poll. If you want to know about the rest of the list on the poll, Venture Beat writes:
To say the list has been hijacked a little by the technorati and social media is to say that water is wet: North Korean dictator and nuclear warmonger Kim Jong Un currently sits at ninth spot and Beyoncé is 11th. South Korean pop star Psy sits in 13th, and Ben Affleck — Ben Affleck — is a few spots further back. In other words, this is a gong show, and Time probably knows it.
