8.9 Inch Kindle Fire HD Available on AT&T From April 5

Kindle Fire tablet was an instant hit when it was launched by Amazon back in 2011.  This was among the first tablets to enter the market at bottom rock prices – with a strategy to make money through advertising and selling content rather than hardware.  Amazon launched the second generation much improved hardware and software Kindle line of tablets last year – Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD in 7 and 8.9 inches.  It was during this launch that the company announced that another version of Kindle Fire HD with 4G LTE would be coming to the market and sure enough, its time has come.

AT&T Kindle Fire HD 4G LTE

AT&T will be selling the 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD with 4G LTE and it will be available in their stores countrywide starting April 5th – that is this Thursday.  AT&T and Amazon is sweetening the deal by offering up to $150 off in credits – and AT&T’s Mobile Share Plans of as little as $10 a month.  Users will be able to download high definition multimedia content, read eBooks, send and read emails and browse the internet on AT&T’s high speed 4G network on the tablet.  AT&T markets the Kindle Fire HD as a rich color tablet with deep contrast making it ideal for gaming and reading and thanks to features such as custom Dolby audio, dual stereo speakers with rich sound and over 23 million TV shows, movies, magazines. Songs, audio books and books and dozens of apps and games for entertainment, buyers will find that this is just the right tablet for all multimedia uses.

The 8.9 Incher with 4G will be retailing for just $249 with a 2 year contract for a limited time after a $150 discount from its actual price of $399.  AT&T seems to put a lot of emphasis on the fact that it is the first carrier to sell the popular version of Kindle Fire HD which is a lot cheaper than other tablets in the market with similar specs.  Buyers have the option of buying the tablet on AT&T and selecting one of the carrier’s Mobile Share plans that come for as low as $10 a month.

If you wouldn’t wish to go through all the hoops and confusing payment plans of AT&T, or if you would like to have the tablet without any contract, you have the option to buy the tablet on Amazon here.
