For all those not impressed by a large 5 inch screen offered by Sony’s Xperia Z and ZL, smaller variants of the Xperia series is slated to be launched soon – The SP with a 4.6 inch screen and the L with a 4.3 inch display. The SP is rumored to sport a fantastic 720 pixel HD display armed with Reality Display technology used in Bravia TVs. Reality Display pumps up the brightness and picture clarity. The screen adjusts the brightness according to the content being viewed. This is made possible with the Bravia Engine powering the Xperia SP. Other neat features of the Sp include Near Field Communication (NFC), the preferred data transfer method among most smartphones today, 4G LTE, a notification light feature that alerts a user to a caller’s identity based on the color of light displayed and an 8 megapixel camera that can capture great images in all lighting conditions. The SP is available in black, white and red and is built of aluminum.
Xperia L, younger brother of the SP, sports a FWVGA 4.3 inch display with an aspect ratio of 16:9. This parameter for display measure ensures that films played in full screen mode are not severed at the edges. Other features include 8 MP camera, NFC, and Exmor RS technology for top quality snaps. Both phones are designed to deliver maximum battery life even with intense usage.
Interesting lineup from Sony’s Xperia Series- solid contender to the Samsung and Apple in the tech market.
