After the South Korean smart phone giant, Samsung, announced the next flag ship device some time back, the Galaxy S IV, we are getting rumors about the next device that the company may showcase, the Samsung Galaxy S IV Mini. And just like the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Galaxy S III Mini, the Galaxy S IV Mini will be a stripped down version of the flag ship Galaxy S IV.
The new rumor includes a leaked photo with a Galaxy S IV and a Galaxy S IV Mini next to it. As can be seen, the mini version of the smart phone is very much similar to the bigger brother in terms of design, but has a stripped down hardware, as already mentioned.
Back in February, we heard the rumor that the South Korean tech giant is working on three new smart phones under the name Project J, and these were scheduled to be released in the first half of the year. And this rumor was quickly followed by rumors about the Galaxy S IV Mini, indicating that the Galaxy S IV and the mini version could be the two smart phone among the three rumoured. Anyway, the new rumor does give out some of the specs of the Galaxy S IV Mini.
So according to the rumor, the smart phone comes with a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED qHD touch screen display with a pixel density of 256 ppi. The smart phone has a 1.6 GHz dual core processor under the hood that will be based on the TW Nature UX 2.0, and out of the box, the smart phone will run Android 4.2.2, also known as Jelly Bean, which is the latest version of Android available.
And to satisfy the February rumor, there will be two variants of the Galaxy S IV Mini, one with dual SIM card support, and one with just one SIM card slot. The smart phone will be made available either in June or July, according to rumors.
