Most of us are already familiar with Samsung, LG, HTC and all of the other popular Android device manufacturers. How about the Chinese Android makers? There’s Huawei, ZTE and then there’s Meizu. While Meizu may not rank high in the worldwide Android smartphone market share the company has produced remarkable Android models.
Meizu is reportedly preparing a new model which will be the successor to their MX2 device which will be called the Meizu MX3. What’s special about this model is that it will be using Samsung’s Exynos 5 5410 Octa eight core processor. This will probably be the first third-party device to feature such processor outside of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
It’s also going to feature a 5.1-inch display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution making it a full HD device. The bezel is going to be very thin on both sides to make it easier to handle with one hand.
In terms of software we are expecting it to run on the latest Jelly Bean operating system. It is also going to come with a Smart Bar app as well as Weibo integration.
If we look at the company’s previous models then we should expect this upcoming model to have a good build quality which will set it apart from other Chinese smartphones.
This is still a rumor though so everything must be taken with a grain of salt.
While the company isn’t that popular in the international market it’s definitely one of the key players in the Chinese market. Their popular Meizu MX Android smartphone is one of their most popular models. It feature high end specifications and has a price comparable to most mid-range devices of other manufacturers. Most of the company stores are located in mainland China as well as in Hong Kong.
