Pocket, popular app that saves web pages for offline reading has rolled out a new update for Facebook where social media sharing has become much simpler. Another update is the easier deletion of articles from the app. As with most rollouts, the iOS version has received the update before other platforms. iPhone, iPod and iPad users can share Facebook content much quicker with the new update.
Pocket for iOS, previously known as Read It Later is a cross platform app that allows users to save web pages accessed from tablets and phones to view at a later time when the user has time to peruse the saved content without an internet connection. Version 4.3 brings to iOS Facebook updates. Before the rollout, the article page had to be exit from, and the article title had to be swiped to display the trash icon that deleted the article. With the new update, holding the article title displays the trash or archive icons that you can use to delete or archive the article. Other interesting features include permitting users to revert to the article list after reading a saved article and an increase in the previously offered maximum font size of the article.
Devices running iOS 6 and above will benefit from the new Pocket 4.3 update. This includes the iPhone 4S and higher versions as well as the iPad 2 and above. Android, BlackBerry and Windows devices can also look forward to this new update from Pocket.
