The Ouya gaming console gained really good response on Kickstarter. The company was able to impress a lot of gamers and get more than enough funding from them. And as promised, the company is going to ship the all new Ouya gaming consoles to its Kickstarter supporters on the 28th of this March. And even though it is just a couple of days away, there is no idea what kind of games we will be able to install or find for this awesome and powerful gaming console. But if you are a classic Nintendo gaming fan, you will have no problem enjoying and getting addicted to this new toy in your living room.
This is because a Nintendo emulator for the Ouya gaming console is on its way to the official Ouya store. You will be able to play all of your classic Nintendo games, thanks to downloadable emulators for the NES, SNES and N64. IGN writes:
OUYA forum admin and owner Ed Krassenstein wrote a post that NES emulator EMUya has been submitted for launch, and both the SuperGNES SNES emulator and Mupen64Plus N64 Emulator will be ported to the Ouya as well. Both the EMUya and the Mupen64Plus are slated to be in the Ouya store by the 28th, and it’s safe to say that the SuperGNES won’t be too far behind.
The acceptance of emulators into the official store of Ouya has been considered a bold move, and it really is. You would not want your product to be used to emulate other products. But if that is what your customers want, why not? But we still have to see how this will work out for the company, and how the customers will react to this. There are still no official data available to judge the popularity of the product. So anything we say now may turn out to be wrong.
