Epoch Android Game Review

If you’re a fan of robots then you’re going to have a great time playing Epoch which comes from Uppercut Games Pty Ltd. This third-person shooter is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humans are long gone. The world is dominated with robots and in fact you control one yourself as you destroy other robots.

Epoch is now available for download for $4.99 over at Google Play. You will need a device running on at least Android 2.3 as well as a storage space of 502 MB. Of course if you have a tablet then it’s much better to install the game in your tablet since the larger display will make the gameplay more enjoyable.

Epoch uses the Unreal Engine which assures you of great graphics. In this game you are an android set out to rescue the princess. You’ll hide from cover to cover and fire at the enemy to destroy them. The AI of the game is quite advanced so you’ll have to use tactics to take down other robots. Since the game uses the same engine as Infinity Blade you skip the cut scenes and jump straight into the action.

The controls are fairly simple. To fire at a target all you have to do is tap on it on the screen. Your robot will take charge of the targeting. Swiping from left to right sends you robot to the next cover while swiping up to the edges of the screen lets your robot leap. Swiping down lets you take cover. Reloading your weapon is automatically done however if you would like to do it manually you can swipe down while in cover position.

The game has ten stages which you will probably have to replay them at a higher difficulty level to advance to the next stage. As you kill more robots you will be allowed to upgrade your frame as well as your weapons.

Overall, Epoch is a nice shooter that comes with great graphics and is highly recommended for those who have the hardware that can support it.
