Are you a fan of Asus’s Padfone lineup? If yes, you can preorder the third version of the famous padfone series provided you live in Taiwan. Being the home country of Asus, it was obvious that the padfone would first go for sale in the country.
The design of the device is quite similar to the previous two versions and it was recently announced in the Mobile World Congress held in February. The 32GB version can be purchased as a standalone device for $702 and for the 64GB version, you would have to pay around $769. Not a large difference considering the fact that you get double the amount of storage. But if you want the dock along with the device, you would have to shell out around $169 more.
If you have used an ASUS device, you will know that the company makes value for money products and the padfone infinity is no exception. For the $700 price tag you get a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with an Adreno 320 GPU. The 5 inch full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 is more than enough for regular media viewing. The 13 MP rear camera and the 2MP front camera will also help you to take good pictures. Talking about the dock that comes with the device, it comes with an anti finger print coating and a 10.1 inch screen. You also get an 18mm speaker output for the best sound experience. Further you get three color options, Titanium grey, gold and pink.
Although the exact date of the international availability is still unknown, we hope to see the device by April end.
