Fans of Sim City and The Simpsons will definitely want to check out The Simpsons: Tapped Out. This game places The Simpsons in a SimCity like environment where you get to build a Springfield like city. This title can be described as a city building and management game but with the added humor factor.

The Simpsons: Tapped Out developed by Electronic Arts Nederland BV which was originally available for iOS devices is now available for the Android platform and can be downloaded over at Google Play for free. You will need a device running on at least Android 2.3.3 and a storage space of 37 MB.

The game starts with Homer sitting at his job at the nuclear reactor plant. By some twist of fate the reactor explodes destroying Springfield. The good news is that everyone miraculously survived the blast.

Now it’s your job to rebuild the town. You will start with the Simpsons residence and move on with your development to other houses and establishments. The tutorial which is presented along the way will guide you with the game mechanics.

Your main target here is to gather money, experience points and especially donuts to accelerate the development in the game. Certain tasks in the game require minutes and even hours to accomplish and if you spend doughnuts this time will be greatly reduced.

If you are not patient enough for certain aspects of the game to finish then you will need a lot of doughnuts. Since doughnuts are hard to get by you can purchase this using real world cash via the in-game store.

The gameplay is interspaced with humorous animation of The Simpsons which makes it even more enjoyable.

One thing about the game though is that if you plan on playing this on a smartphone the screen display is going to feel cramped. I suggest installing it on your tablet so as to make the gameplay more enjoyable.
