Sony has just announced on their website that they are now accepting orders for the Sony Xperia E Dual which will be released in the US this coming March 1. The device will sell for $199.99 and is an entry level Android device that allows you to simultaneously be on two networks owing to its dual sim feature.
Sony Xperia E Dual Specifications
- Android 4.0
- 3.5 inch 320 x 480 pixels 262,000 color TFT display
- 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
- 512 MB RAM
- 4GB Internal storage
- microSD card, up to 32GB
- 3.2MP rear camera
Despite having low specs the device is packaged in a sleek body that makes it have a premium look to it. This is a great starter Android device for people who are making their first jump to smartphones from feature phones. Most networks are offering devices that cost the same as this model yet you will be tied down to a two-year contract. This one is sim-free which you can use on any GSM network you want.
Sony Xperia E Dual has a good build quality and is reasonably priced. Even if it runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich, which is not the latest operating system, it is still a good choice. You will rarely see any lag, if there is any at all, when running your favorite applications.
You can pre-order this model over at the Sony U.S. store right now with free ground shipping. The company is even throwing in free 200 Sony rewards points when you get this device. The rewards points you earn can be used on future purchases on the Sony site.
