Six new Samsung devices were spotted in benchmark results on GLBenchmarks. Several of them carry the Galaxy brand, including the Galaxy Fonblet 5.8, Galaxy Star, Galaxy Young, Galaxy Frame, and Galaxy Pocket 2. Another, meanwhile, only has the product code, GT-B9150, as identification.
Some of the names of these devices had been circulating in the rumor mill lately. Naturally, there had been doubts regarding their existence, given the fact that Samsung has not officially announced any of them. The benchmark test results may thus serve to give some credence to the floating rumors.
Along with the names of the supposedly upcoming devices, some key specifications are revealed by the benchmark tests.
According to the tests, the Galaxy Fonblet 5.8, which is also known by its model number GT-I9150 / GT-I9152, will sport a 1.2GHz Broadcom BCM28155 processor, VideoCore IV GPU, a 5.8-inch 960 x 540 pixel display, and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean as its operating system. It would be recalled that rumors of this device had already more than a week ago, when speculation suggested that the device would share some similarities with the Galaxy Player 5.8. Back then, it was already expected that the handset would be coming with a 960 x 540 pixel display.
Meanwhile, another device spotted in the benchmark tests is the Galaxy Pocket 2, which has the model number GT-S5310 / GT-S5312. This device packs a 320 x 240 pixel display, a 850MHz Broadcom processor, VideoCore IV GPU, and Android 4.1.2 operating system. Judging from these specifications, it seems that this handset is aimed at the low-end market segment.
Another device that appears to be targeted at the low-end segment is the Galaxy Star, which is also known as the GT-S5282. This device packs a VGA display, as well, with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Under the hood, it features a Spreadtrum processor, Mali-300 GPU, and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean as its operating system.
Samsung also has a handset for the mid-range segment in the form of the Galaxy Young, which has the model number GT-S6310 / GT-S6312. This comes with an HVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. It also offers a 1GHz Qualcomm 7X27 processor, Adreno 200 GPU, and again, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
There is also the Galaxy Frame, with the model number GT-S6810 / GT-S6810P. This is a mid-range smartphone with an HVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, like the Galaxy Young. Also onboard is a 1GHz Broadcom CPU, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The GT-S6810P model likewise supports NFC connectivity.
Lastly, the GT-B9150, boasts of a full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Inside, it runs on a 1.7GHz dual-core Exynos 5250 processor working with a quad-core Mali-T604 GPU. Android 4.2.1 is its operating system. With these specifications, it appears that the GT-B9150 is a high-end smartphone.
