Rumors of the Nokia Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 have been on the internet for quite a while with several leaks about its looks and specifications. After all this fuzz, the company has finally decided to announce this new handset via their official Facebook page.

The phone is made specifically made to appeal the young generation who are always busy with their social lives. The phone aims to bring the awesome features of Nokia Lumia 920 to the mid range market via its cheap price.

Just like all other Lumia phones, the 720 will be made of a polycarbonate body and will be the sleekest device in the Lumia lineup. The curved glass on the phone at this price range is also something to cheer about.

The phone will run on a 1.0 GHz MSM 8227 processor with 4.3 inch Gorilla Glass 2, clear back WGVA LCD screen. The phone will also support super sensitive touch that the Lumia 920 boasts about. Gorilla glass 2.0 will also improve the device’s viewing angles.

However, the selling point of the device is its camera. The camera will have a f/1.9 aperture with Carl Zeiss lens, which means you can take incredible low light pictures. Along with its amazing Carl Zeiss rear camera, you get a best in class front camera too. The front camera will have the wide angle feature which enables you to capture more number of people on the screen. Skype capabilities along with its smart shoot and cinematograph apps will surely impress you. However, there’s more, Nokia has been working on some new applications for their Lumia lineup and now, they have included Glam Me (helps you edit pictures taken with the front cam) and Place tag (adds location, time, date to your picture) applications along with the new device.

Add global HERE maps, livesight and HERE DRIVE to this device and it becomes a hell lot attractive. The phone will be priced around €249 and will be available by the end of March 2013.

At this price range, Nokia seems to have outdone every other manufacturer and the plenty of color options available like cyan, red, yellow, black etc is sure to attract a lot of people towards this device.
