If you are a person who loves workouts and keeping your body in shape, then you would love to monitor your workouts as well. There is one very popular platform which a lot of users have been using for years, the iPod and iPhone plus the Nike+. The company later on released the Fuel Band arm band as well, which will help track and monitor your bodily activities on your iPods or iPhones even better. But this facility has been available for iPhone or iPod users for a long time now, what about Android users?
Well, Nike Support team says that we will not be seeing any Android version of the Nike Fuel Band any time soon, even when there are millions and millions of Android users in the whole wide world. The official Twitter account of the Nike Support team says that the development team at Nike is completely focused on the iOS and web development of the platform, so it will not be working on Android any time soon. Does this mean there will be no Android version of the app at all? I do not really think so. Nike said:
To deliver the best experience for all Nike+ FuelBand users, we are focusing on the FuelBand experience across iOS and nikeplus.com, where you can sync your activity, set new goals, and connect with friends. At this time, we are not working on an Android version of the mobile app.
This just means that the company is not looking to release the Android version now, but it may start working on it any time in the future, or it may not as well. There are many alternatives to this in the Android market already. But Nike is simply better than most of these accessories and apps. Anyway, if you need Nike app and accessory right now, there is only way, get an iPhone.
