A new HTC smart phone has showed up in Chinese database, and the spec sheet seems a lot more familiar. The smart phone is named the HTC 603e and is said to have a 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The HTC 603e is powered by a 1.15 GHz dual core processor, has 1 GB of RAM, and a 5 mega pixel rear camera capable of recording 720p videos. The smart phone also has a microSD card slot to let users expand the capacity of the storage space on the device. The device runs on Google’s Android 4.1 mobile operating system. Does this configuration look similar? Well, it does, that is because this smart phone seems to be a follow up of the HTC One SU with a WCDMA radio in China.
The difference here is that the HTC 603e rumored device also features a 2 mega pixel front facing camera for video calls and self portraits. Also, the HTC 603e looks a lot different to the HTC One SU. Also, the smart phone is said to be made available in black, white, green, and yellow colors. The smart phone is expected to be 9.8 mm thin, or thick, and 130 grams light, or heavy. This puts the rumored HTC 603e right in between the M4 and the G2.
But this does not mean we know everything about the device, which is because we are still not sure if the device will come with slots for two SIM cards, or just one. The two SIM card idea is very appealing in the Chinese market, as a lot of local and international smart phone manufacturers are providing two SIM cards for their latest smart phones. Also, the expected price of the smart phone is not listed anywhere with the rumor. So we cannot be completely sure of what the Taiwanese smart phone manufacturer will do.
