For $200, the Nexus 7 is no slouch. In fact, it’s more than likely the cheapest tablet you can get without putting a huge compromise on hardware. A huge downside to the tablet is the lack of accessories, which is a bit of a problem considering how popular the tablet has become.
Good news though, folks. ASUS has manufactured a docking station for the Nexus 7, which will be going on sale in a mere two weeks. Retailers like B&H are already saying that the tablet will go on sale on January 16th. It’s a bit of a steep price at $39.99, which has understandably been a turn-off for some consumers.
The dock itself features a micro USB port and a 3.5mm jack. That way the Nexus 7 can easily be charged and possibly even plugged into a sound system while it sits in its dock.
Personally, I would of liked to see something a bit more of an advanced dock for the Nexus 7. I’m a huge fan of ASUS’ docks for their Transformer line. You can set your Transformer tablet in a dock where it allows functionality of a keyboard and provided extra hours of battery life.
