Those that were looking to snag a Nexus 4 were pretty upset to find out that they couldn’t order a Nexus 4 because it was sold out almost immediately. You may find yourself not wanting to purchase from LG ever again after you hear this though. According to the International Business Times, LG is allegedly halting Nexus 4 production in order to clear the table for its upcoming smartphones. The Nexus 4 hasn’t been available long, and LG is already considering putting production to a halt. Rumors are going around that LG is already working on the success to the Nexus 4 behind the scenes. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we’re all doing this now.
If you don’t want to get on the rumor wagon about a LG-manufactured successor to the Nexus 4, LG SVP Steve Fish at CES mentioned that LG’s future is looking bright with Google:
“Through our collaboration with Google, we launched the LG Nexus 4 smartphone. This is the first of many devices to come from our growing partnership with this very selective company.”
Life isn’t going to be very Good if the company can’t produce enough smartphones for the demand that is there.
This is going to be a major letdown to a lot of potential customers.
Excuse me if I have a lack of knowledge here, but should Google not be stepping in if LG can not provide enough devices for their customers? Besides, how does LG look at the Nexus 4 as successful enough to make a successor when there are so many unsatisfied customers?
