Kogan might not be a major player in the smartphone scene but the Australian technology company is making its presence felt by releasing a new 5-inch dual sim smartphone that’s very cheap. The all new Kogan Agora is probably the world’s cheapest 5-inch smartphone right now priced at only AUD$149/$US149/£119. And if you think that this might be a low end device with unimpressive specs you have another thing coming.

With so many smartphone models being released in the market today this particular model stands out primarily because of its cheap price and excellent features. For just $150 you can already have a dual sim device with a 5 inch display without any contracts.
The specification of this model is comparable to other entry level devices but then again those other devices cost more. Its use of a dual core processor is a great touch by the company which should allow for a lag free experience. The downside though is the use of just 512 MB of RAM which should have been increased to 1 GB.
In terms of build quality plastic is being used all around but it does not fell cheap at all. Just don’t expect it to be as sturdy as polycarbonate or aluminum smartphone models.
Kogan is selling this model exclusively through their online website and shipment is expected to begin in the middle of February. As of the moment the company can ship this device to 11 countries which includes the U.S. and U.K. with more countries hopefully to be covered soon.
If you are looking for a backup smartphone that doesn’t cost a lot then the new Kogan Agora is definitely worth considering.
